Mert Alaş, born in Turkey and Marcus Piggott, born in Wales, met in England in 1994 after having worked for a brief period in different areas, Alaş in classical music and Piggott in graphic design.

Knight was born in HammersmithLondon. He studied photography at Bournemouth and Poole College of Art and Design and published his first book of photographs ‘Skinhead’ in 1982 when he was still a student at the school.
