My Photo series from Freie Universität Berlin in quarantine 2020
Freie Universität Berlin in quarantine 2020 is my personal photography project, which I took during the Corona time in Berlin-Germany. This photo series was taken on 21 March 2020. I was living close to the University, so I decided to walk there and take some photos of the university building.
The Free University of Berlin is consistently ranked among Germany’s top ten universities overall, with particular strengths in the arts & humanities. It is followed by the social sciences internationally. These programs are highly competitive. For example, the program in Political Science is ranked no.19 worldwide according to the QS ranking. About Freie Universität Berlin
The University was founded in West Berlin in 1948 with American support during the early Cold War period. It was a de facto western continuation of the Frederick William University. This was located in East Berlin and faced strong communist repression. Its name refers to West Berlin’s status as part of the Western Free World, in contrast to the communist-controlled university in East Berlin.
